GREENSBORO, N.C. — Memorial Day is a day we observe on the last Monday of May every year to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.
Here are some events happening in the Triad:
Sunday events (5/26):
- Steve Millikin Black Caps Veterans Group Memorial Day Service - County Park at 2 p.m.
- The Rockingham County Veterans Coalition will hold an event - Veterans Park in Wentworth at 2 p.m.
Monday events (5/27):
- 10th Anniversary Memorial Day Ceremony - Triad Park at 11 a.m.
- Thomasville Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony - Downtown Thomasville at 9 a.m.
