GREENSBORO, N.C. — Couples all over the Triad are celebrating Wednesday, but Valentine's Day can be tough for people who've lost a spouse.
That was the case for Greensboro couple Vince and Kathleen, but they are proving you can find love again at any age. The pair share laughs and travel memories.
Vince and Kathleen are what some call the perfect pair.
"What we have is beautiful," Vince Frungillo said.
The two met at the senior living community Heritage Greens, finding love a second time around after the passing of both their spouses.
"He picked me up. he did a nice job of helping me heal and starting the healing process," Kathleen Gustafson said.
Vince, who recently turned 99 years old, is almost twenty years Kathleen's senior.
"I thought my life with a nice woman was all over, but I found it wasn't that even at my age things can happen," Vince said.
The pair said their love comes naturally seeing as Kathleen likes to cook and Vince is the wine connoisseur.
"Everybody here says I was after his money, and he tells them I was after her. Little do they know we are both broke!" Kathleen said.
And to those looking for love again, Vince and Kathleen say find someone to have fun and share lots of laughs with.
"We have a great time together. Really a beautiful time," Vince said.
