GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 5-million-dollar donation from Cone Health will go towards the Windsor Chavis Nocho Community Complex (WCNCC).
"This opportunity to collaborate with Cone Health is an example of the benefits of public-private partnerships. The WCNCC concept represents a new approach to public service delivery that recognizes the need to be in the community and easily accessible, " Interim City Manager Chris Wilson said.
The facility is in the works to provide access to simple benefits to residents living in east Greensboro. Officials say it will offer a variety of services and educational program opportunities.
"This contribution towards the City's capital needs will allow our most vulnerable community members to access health and wellness services like never before," Dr. Mary Jo Cagle, CEO of Cone Health said.
Construction on the complex is expected to start next year. The city said the facility is expected to open in 2027.
