GREENSBORO, N.C. — It is the season of giving back to those in need!
Greensboro Urban Ministry hosted its annual Feast of Caring on Thursday. Several members of our news team attended the event.
The event happens each year on the Thursday before Thanksgiving. A variety of soups and breads were prepared for lunch and dinner at the event, according to Greensboro Urban Ministry.
Each guest can choose from hand-crafted pottery or six of the 2024 Greensboro Urban Ministry Holiday Honor Cards as thank-you gifts.
During both lunch and dinner, there is a silent auction of specialty handcrafted pottery pieces.
Sponsors of this year’s Feast of Caring are Granville Capital, Inc. and Piedmont Natural Gas. The Pottery Room is sponsored by Lincoln Financial Group.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the door. Tickets are a minimum donation of $30, according to Greensboro Urban Ministry.
Proceeds from the event will support the Greensboro Urban Ministry.
