GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Barnabas Network Furniture Bank is known for helping people who are in the process of getting on their feet. Qualifying people can go to the furniture bank to get new and gently-used furniture to as they furnish their new beginnings. Barnabas is the Triad’s only non-profit furniture bank whose mission is to end furniture poverty and provide a place to sit, eat, and sleep for individuals in our community.
Now, the Barnabas Network is expanding their offerings. They're now collecting housewares to continue in that effort. To that end, they're holding a housewares drive on SATURDAY, AUGUST 31 from 10am-3pm. People can bring their items to The Barnabas Furniture Bank Warehouse at 838 Winston Street in Greensboro. Requested donations include: pots and pans, kitchen utensils, dishes, cutlery, glassware, towels (kitchen, bath, and washcloths), bathroom accessories, small appliances, lamps, home decor and artwork.
The warehouse is in immediate need of the following items:
Pillows
Towels
Washcloths
Pots & Pans
Silverware
Plates
All donations are tax deductible.
Contributions and donations will positively impact those in need by helping to turn houses into functional homes. Barnabas serves approximately 3,700 people per year who are transitioning out of homelessness, feeling abuse, overcoming major obstacles, and living on incomes that do not meet basic needs.
