GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Central Carolina Fair is returning for it's 125th year at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex! The annual fair features, rides, food, games, and more for the family! It opens August 30 and runs through September 15. Advance tickets are $30 and include admission AND an unlimited ride wristband - except for on Dollar Days and the fair's last day. Children under 42 are free, seniors (60+) are free, military (with valid id) get in free, and students (with valid id) also get in free.
WFMY News 2 is partnering with the Central Carolina Fair to give everyone free admission on opening night, Friday, August 30. Thursdays are Dollar Days -- where people can pay $1 admissions, $1 per ride, $1 for select food items and enjoy free parking! On Saturdays, from 11am-3pm, everyone's a kid! That means adults get kid pricing on admissions and ride bands.
Attractions include: Roaring Metal Rage, a production of freestyle motocross including the craziest mini freestyle motocross and bmx stunts. Weeks 2 and 3 entertainment include Hamid Circus. Hamid Circus is the oldest single family-owned circus in America. You can expect to see daring aerial feats, balancing brilliance, one wheel wizards, cavalcades of K9's, and more!
