Family close to building new home after fire in Randolph County

The Burroughs family hopes to move soon, after finishing work on their new home.

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — A Randolph County family is getting closer to getting a new home after a fire destroyed theirs and nearly killed their child.

The Burroughs family hopes to move soon, after finishing work on their new home.

Chevy Burroughs, 10, spent weeks in the ICU after he was badly burned in a fire last December.

The family says his dad busted through the wall to get his son out of the fire. They also said they hope to get a lot of work done in the coming weeks.
