UPDATE: An Alamance County representative says the problem was fixed Sunday afternoon.
Alamance County says a hardware problem caused thousands to be unable to call 911 from a landline Sunday.
AT&T notified the county that 13,291 customers couldn't dial 911 from a landline phone for a short time according to a release.
