NORTH CAROLINA, USA — Organizations around the Triad have events to honor those who were killed on September 11, 2001.
9/11 Memorial Ceremony
The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office will be honoring those who lost their lives on 9/11 outside of the Law Enforcement Center at 130 Justice Center Drive in Reidsville from 9 a.m.-9:30 a.m.
Climb to Remember High Point
The event will have the High Point Fire Department, High Point Police Department and other first responders taking part in a stair climb at Truist Point in High Point to honor those that lost their lives on 9/11. The gates open at 6 a.m. The ceremonies will begin at 6:15 a.m. It is a free event and open to the public.
Climb to Remember Winston-Salem
Wake Forest and Winston-Salem State Universities ROTC ‘No Fear' Battalion will host a climb to remember from 6 a.m.-8 a.m. at Wake Forest’s Allegacy Stadium. Those who participate will climb one stair for each life lost.
Dot & Pearl's Bakery
Dot & Pearl's Bakery in High Point will honor first responders on 9/11 by giving away a piece of cake to all first responders who visit on Sept. 11.
