Two Ways You Can Help Meals On Wheels In Your Community

$6.25 can help give someone a meal through the Meals On Wheels Program. You can help 2 ways: eat out at Golden Corral or donate online or by phone!

GREENSBORO, NC – It’s a meal. But really, it’s more than a meal. It’s often the only touch to the outside world.

Meals On Wheels is nationwide, but it’s the meals being delivered in your home town that you really care about. For example, in Guilford County alone, 779 people received meals last year. And there’s a waiting list, like there is in most counties.

2WTK is helping our local Meals On Wheels programs serve the folks in your town; the neighbor down the street, the people who you used to go to church with but they now can’t get out, the person your parent used to work with.

You can help in two ways. First, eat out! The Greensboro locations of Golden Corral will give 10% of dinner sales on Wednesday, February 28th and breakfast, lunch, and dinner sales on Thursday, March 1st to Senior Resources of Guilford and their MOW program. Golden Corral provides the meals for the MOW program in Guilford, Alamance, Caswell, Rockingham, Stokes, Forysth and Yadkin counties—750,000 meals a year!

Second, you can give! It costs $6.25 for one meal or $31.25 for a week of meals.
