CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Wells Fargo & Co.'s Charlotte operations will likely see an influx of technology workers in the coming months.
The San Francisco-based bank is asking 650 tech employees across the United States to relocate to larger markets — one of those being Charlotte, spokesman Peter Gilchrist confirmed.
Wells Fargo is targeting markets with 10 or fewer tech workers in an effort to consolidate its operations, part of a three-year plan handed down by Saul Van Beurden, head of technology.
