KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — Kernersville is getting a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, which will add 175 jobs to the community.
The restaurant broke ground Monday on Pecan Lane, according to a Cracker Barrel spokesperson. It will be across the street from the Food Lion and Ace Hardware store off Union Cross Road.
Cracker Barrel says the new Kernersville location will open in February 2020.
The restaurant chain says this will be its 41st location in North Carolina. The first NC location opened in 1985 in Gastonia. The last store to open in the state was Mt. Airy in 2015.
