Truist Financial grants employee bonuses, shifts branch services

Truist Financial Corp. is giving bonuses to thousands of employees to help as the coronavirus spreads.

Truist Financial Corp. (NYSE: TFC) is giving bonuses to thousands of employees to help offset financial hardships as the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, spreads.

Employees who make less than $100,000 in annual base pay will receive a $1,200 pre-tax bonus next week, Kyle Tarrance, director of media relations at Truist, said on Friday. 

About 45,000 people are eligible for the bonuses.
