Triad textile and apparel firms teaming up to make PPE

Burlington Industries and Ralph Lauren are working together to make isolation gowns for front-line workers.

Greensboro-based Burlington Industries is teaming with Ralph Lauren to support the fashion brand in transitioning production to make isolation gowns for health care and other community workers in New York, New Jersey and North Carolina on the front line of the Covid-19 crisis. 

Ralph Lauren operates a service center and warehouse in High Point.

The two companies have a long-established relationship that spans years of creating uniforms for the U.S. Olympic Team and other classic apparel products.
