Triad sanitizer maker staying in the fight against COVID-19

Kay Chemical Co.'s Greensboro and Winston-Salem facilities are operating 24/7.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — St. Paul-based EcoLab Inc., with its Kay Chemical Co. division in the Triad, has ramped up production of sanitizer and other products to meet soaring demand amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Worldwide the number of infections will likely hit 500,000 today, with people infected in more than 150 countries around the globe. 

The total death toll so far climbed to more than 22,000, with more than 1,000 U.S. deaths now recorded amid nearly 70,000 cases.
