PTI fares decrease 6.2% as a result of more seats, greater demand

Customers saved more money flying from PTI in 2019.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Airfares at Piedmont Triad Airport are dropping, a recent analysis by the U.S. Department of Transportation shows.

PTI fares declined by 6.2% for the 12-month period ending September 2019. Based on round-trip fares, PTI’s average of $443.13 per passenger ranks fourth among airports in North Carolina and seventh in the two Carolinas.

“We are pleased to see this downward trend in airfares at PTI and are glad to see how we rank among peer airports in the region,” said Baker, executive director of the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority
