GREENSBORO, N.C. — Community leaders held a ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony Wednesday for The Women's Business Center of Greensboro, NC.
The new office stems from a partnership with the National Institute of Minority Economic Development (The Institute) and Bennett College.
"To know that you're doing work that is going to impact the community, not just where we are, but beyond our boundaries of Guilford County, and to know that we are at the forefront and have our fingers on the pulse of what is to come for small business owners, women-owned and minority-owned. It's just really a joyous occasion and monumental moment", said Executive Director Lu-Ann Barry.
The center sits on Bennett College's campus and will offer business basics including, advanced training opportunities, access to capital, and other resources to support entrepreneurs.
