GREENSBORO, N.C. — Talk about turning things around. A North Carolina A&T alum was laid off during the pandemic last year. Now, he's chasing his dream with his new wine collection.
Like for many of us, the year 2020 was a year with adversity for Denzel Fleming, but like many of you at home, he found a way to succeed. Now Fleming is mixing his two favorite things, wine and music, and he's sharing them with the world.
When asked to describe the inspiration behind the project, Fleming shared, "This whole project is a happiness project for me. I call it project dopamine or "AKA" Something To Hold You. This gives you something to hold you until I can get to you in person so, I can tell you, I appreciate you."
So, what's a better name for his Muscadine table wine than, 'Something To Hold You.' Not only is the artwork on the bottle a personal piece by Fleming, but also comes with a pleasant surprise on the label.
"In the middle of the artwork is a QR code that people can scan, and it takes them to the website. Where people can learn more about me being a multi-disciplinarian artist, how I've come to be. Also, some of my favorite things, there's a playlist, scan the QR code press the playlist and it gets everybody jamming."
