GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Cone Health announced it is raising its minimum wage from $10.15 to $12 per hour at the end of May.
The hospital says it will invest a total of $2.5 million in order to raise the hourly wage.
About 1,500 employees are getting a pay increase because of this.
“This is further proof of our commitment to offering our workforce competitive wages. Our goal with a $12 minimum wage is to remove the barriers some of our employees experience, both financially and with work-life balance,” said Mandy Eaton, vice president of human resources.
