GREENSBORO – AT&T launched a new choice for faster internet access in Greensboro and communities around the area.
It's called U-verse® with AT&T GigaPowerSM and is Greensboro's first residential network to with speed reaching 1 gigabit per second.
To put that speed into perspective, it allows you to download 25 songs in less than a second or and HD movie in less tan 36 seconds.
"It's going to be a great service for our customers and for the city of Greensboro, and as a whole for the high speed internet, which will help really generate economic growth and job creation," said Greensboro mayor Nancy Vaughan.
The high speed internet packages range in price from $70 to around $150 per month. Some packages include the new high speed internet and television service.
U-Verse ith AT&T GigaPower also launched Monday in sections of Durham. The high-speed internet service is also available in parts of Winston-Salem, Apex, Carrboro, Cary, Charlotte, Morrisville, and Raleigh.
