“Moms and daughters are surprised at the inventory of prom dresses we have at Goodwill,” said Pam Anglin, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina. “They’re also surprised at our prices, because the average cost of a prom dress is about $ 20 dollars.”
Goodwill has a wide selection of dresses, including women's shoes for as low as $5 and jewelry for as low as $1.
Young men can get great deals at Goodwill, too. Suits sell for about $20, shoes go for as little as $5, and many ties are just $1.
