GREENSBORO, N.C. — When you go to bed tonight, you might not think about the roof over your head, or the warm blanket covering you, or the soft pillow underneath you.
But these are things that homeless men and women live without every day.
NC A&T students with the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity wanted to simulate what homeless men and women experience every day as a way to raise awareness about homelessness in our community.

The students held a Sleep Out For The Homeless event on Friday night on NC A&T's campus. Students started gathering on the Phi Beta Sigma plot this evening. They plan on sleeping outside through the entire night.
The students are raising money that will help the homeless community. They're also making no-sew blankets and inspirational cards for those in need.
The fraternity has been doing the Sleep Out For The Homeless initiative since the 80's.
