High Point hosts annual Holiday Festival Parade

The parade was first held in 1925.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Sunday afternoon, hundreds flocked to downtown High Point for the city's 2024 Holiday Festival Parade.

Held every year since 1925, the High Point parade has become a cornerstone of the holiday season in the city. At one point, the parade was held on Thanksgiving Day, but in 2010 it was moved to the Sunday before Thanksgiving for the first time.

The parade route began at Green Drive and traveled north on Main Street down to Qubein Street.

The WFMY News 2 crew was at the parade. Here are some photos of the event, captured by reporter Amber Lake.
