Greensboro non-profit collecting furniture items for families in need

Barnabas Network is an organization that provides free items to families who are looking for a fresh start.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Barnabas Network is a non-profit furniture bank that gives furniture to qualified people and families working to be self-sufficient. They might be transitioning out of homelessness, fleeing abuse, recovering from a setback, or having super low incomes. They focused on furniture for the longest but now they're also collecting housewares.

The organization is hosting a furniture drive on Saturday, August 31, 2024. It partners with the Greensboro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to host the event. Those interested in helping are asked to bring new/gently-used houseware items. Most needed items include pillows, towels, washcloths, pots/pans, silverware, and plates. You can bring those items to the facility.

The furniture drive is at 838 Winston Street in Greensboro. It runs from 10 AM - 3 PM.
