ASHEBORO, N.C. — It's International Polar Bear Day!
And for North Carolina Zoo polar bear Anana, it's the best day of the year.
Zoo keepers treated Anana to an ice treat packed with strawberries, fish, and carrots, and another frozen treat with baby food, peanut butter, chow, and popcorn.
Anana is getting treated like royalty because...well, she is! Her grandmother was named Princess. So it only makes sense she gets the best of the best on her special day.
Anana is a 24-year-old polar bear who was born at the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester, NY, on November 27, 1999. She arrived at the North Carolina Zoo in September 2014.
