GREENSBORO, N.C. — This is definitely a week that Aggies past and present look forward to.
The North Carolina A&T State University Homecoming pep rally allowed students to become immersed in the experience.
The pep rally ran from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. inside the Corbett Arena on the campus of NC A&T.
Some students got in line for the event nearly two hours before doors were set to open.
One student even brought her own chair and was doing homework while she waited.
Crews have spent the day setting up the Corbett arena for the pep rally.
The cheerleading squad and the band are just two of the highlights that were featured at Wednesday's pep rally.
Students said the "Greatest Homecoming On Earth" creates an environment unlike any other.
One student said, "it's really a time we all come together with alumni and it's like a big family, like a big family reunion."
Another shared that, homecoming at NC A&T is really like a big family so we all get together for homecoming and you definitely see and feel the Aggie pride."
A&T homecoming is not only a boost for the university as tens of thousands of Aggies return to campus, but it also generates more than $9 million for the Greensboro economy.
