ELON, N.C. — A man with ties to the Triad appeared on Jeopardy! Thursday night.
Elon University math professor Marko Saric won a nail-biter and will be back for his own streak.
All three contestants got the final Jeopardy! question wrong, but Saric didn't wager enough to drop him out of first place.
Saric said he always loved game shows. He actually learned his ABC's watching Wheel of Fortune.
He said he always took inspiration from Vanna White.
"Instead of sitting on the couch, I would tap the TV and clap and everything, he shared.
Saric outmatched a woman on a 5-game winning streak.
If you missed it, you can catch him again Friday night at 7:30 p.m. on WFMY News 2.
