NAMPA, Idaho — It was around this time last year when tickets for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour sold out quicker than fans could say, "Are You Ready For It?"
That made it a "Cruel Summer" for some swifties and forced some fans like Emily Cloud to get creative. As KTVB reported in December of 2022, the Nampa woman posted on TikTok that she would trade her wedding venue, The Vintage Rose, for tickets to Taylor Swift's concert.
Jennifer Bowerman’s mom heard about Cloud's proposal and knew "All Too Well," that this was a deal her daughter couldn't pass up.
“At this time, I was not even engaged,” Bowerman said.
However, she and her now husband Mike knew they wanted to spend their lives together. The couple toured the venue and ended up loving the venue. Bowerman traded three of her six concert tickets for the wedding venue.
“Each ticket was $300,” Bowerman said. “So, we spent about $900 on a $4,500 wedding venue, essentially.”
That happened last year. Then in January of 2023, the couple got engaged in McCall.
“We were driving back from a call and I’m texting Emily, we're engaged, what dates do you have for this year? That's how we picked October 8,” Bowerman said.
This past summer, both ladies watched Taylor Swift live in concert in Seattle.
“It was actually great to know who was going to be sitting next to us,” Bowerman said.
In October 2023, Bowerman’s "Love Story" turned into a "Fairytale" when she said ‘I do’ at the Vintage Rose.
“We love to thank Taylor Swift for it, because it could not have been more perfect,” Bowerman said.
A perfect day that went beyond the newlywed's "Wildest Dreams."
