Who's Turning 75? | Week of Aug. 1

GREENSBORO, N.C. — This month, WFMY News 2 is turning 75! So we're celebrating members of our community who are also turning 75!

We begin today with Tom. He turned 75 on July 28th! This High Point resident has been married for 52 years with two amazing sons and one terrific grandson. He also served in the U.S. Navy and is a retired pastor. Happy birthday Tom!

Happy birthday Brenda! She also turned 75 on the 28th. Brenda is from Lexington but lives in Jamestown. She has been an operating room nurse for more than 50 years! She's retired but still relieves O.R. nurses a couple times a week! She also sings in the choir and plays handbells for her church. Happy birthday Brenda!

Happy 75th to Bobbie! She turned 75 July 29th. Bobbie has lived all over: New York City, Syracuse, Buffalo, San Diego, Charlotte, and of course Greensboro! She had a career as a magazine and book editor. She has also written books on crafts like knitting and crochet! Happy birthday to you!    

Betty turned 75 on July 31st. Her family says she's the best aunt anyone could ask for! Happy 75th birthday Betty!

Janie also turned 75 on July 31st! She has one daughter, three grandkids, and one great grandchild. Her family loves her very much! Happy birthday to you Janie!

Steve is celebrating a birthday today, August 1! He was born in Morgantown, West Virginia but loves living in the Triad! Happy birthday Steve!

Last but not least, happy birthday Lynn! Lynn turns 75 on Saturday, August third. She lives in Rockingham County and works full time as a database programmer. In her picture, you can see she's a huge Nascar fan! Happy birthday to Lynn and to everyone turning 75 this week.
