GREENSBORO, N.C. — This year, WFMY News 2 turns 75 and we want to celebrate those of you turning 75 too!
We start this week with Peggy Crabtree. Peggy turned 75 on April first. Her daughter says she is the sweetest woman anyone has ever met! Peggy is a retired kindergarten teacher's assistant from Alamance Burlington School System. She's also played piano at church since she was a teenager and is the choir director at Salem Community Church in Haw River. She has been married for 54 years and has 2 children and 6 grandchildren! Happy birthday Peggy.
Happy birthday Steve Sweet! He also turned 75 on April 1st. His wife says he has lived in Clemmons most of his life. He enjoys time with family, painting & building anything, whether it be a house, furniture or a birdhouse. She submited a picture of Steve with WFMY News 2's Julie Luck at the Lexington Barbecue Festival! Happy birthday Steve!
Rounding out the birthdays this week is Louise Richardson! Louise will be 75 on Saturday, April 6. She is retired, and a Foster Grandparent volunteer with Senior Resources of Guilford. Happy 75th to you, Louise!
If you or a loved one are turning 75 this month, or this year, let us know!
Send their name, birthday, a non-professional picture, and a few details to turning75@wfmy.com.
We'll air that week's birthdays on the Four 2 Five!
Happy birthday from all of us at WFMY News 2!!!
