GREENSBORO, N.C. — Last month, WFMY News 2 turned 75 and we want to celebrate our viewers who are also turning 75!
First up today is Julia! She turned 75 on Monday, September 9th. Her family says she loves spending time with her kids and grandkids. She also likes unusual house plants, watching cooking shows, and serving in the kitchen at church. Happy birthday to you Julia!
Happy birthday to Rory! She also turned 75 September 9th. Her family affectionately calls her 'Punk' and her grandkids call her Nana. Her family says she's a fun-loving, kind, and generous person who enjoys spending time with her fur baby, Trump. She also likes tending to her calves on her and her late husband's farm. Happy birthday Rory!
Happy 75th to Mike! He turned 75 on September 11th. Mike is a Vietnam veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star. He went on to spend more than 20 years in government service. He then became a docent interpretive volunteer at the North Carolina Transportation Museum at historic Spencer shops. He was also named the volunteer of the year by the North Carolina Museums Council in 2006. Happy birthday Mike!
Last but not least, happy birthday to Marvin! Marvin turns 75 on September 13th! He's originally from Greensboro, spent most of his life in California, and now lives in Gibsonville. He took his first cruise last year and would love to go on another. His family says he is one of the kindest and strongest men they know. Happy birthday Marvin and to all those turning 75.
