GREENSBORO, N.C. — This year, WFMY News 2 is turning 75 and we want to celebrate our viewers who are also turning 75!
We begin today with Char. We shared her picture last week, but had the wrong name! Barbara sent in the information, but it was Char who turned 75 on July 6! Char lives in Asheboro and says she doesn't feel different than when she turned 55! She used to surf in California before becoming a teacher. She says she's still exercising and still has lots of energy! Keep that energy Char! Happy birthday!
Happy birthday Gloria! She turned 75 on July 7. She is a retired upholsterer. We hope she had a terrific day!
Happy 75th to Philip! He also turned 75 on July 7th. He has been a a butterfly and moth collector since 1959. He retired from Immaculate Heart of Mary School and parish staff in 2010. Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday to Alice! She turned 75 on July eighth. Her daughter says she loves to bowl, go to church, and have fun with her grandchildren. Happy 75th to you!
Last but not least, happy birthday to Bill. He turns 75 on Saturday. He and his wife will celebrate 40 years of marriage next month. The Burlington resident is a father of 2 and grandfather of 3. He recently retired from Labcorp and is a third generation Yankees fan. Happy birthday to you and all of today's birthdays.
