GREENSBORO, N.C. — This year, WFMY News 2 is turning 75 and we want to celebrate our viewers who are also turning 75!
We begin today with a couple of shout outs from last week. Happy birthday to Edwin and Erwin! They tuned 75 on June 4th and shared some throwback pictures! Happy birthday to them!
Now to this week. First up is Frankie! She turned 75 on June 9th. She has four kids 14 grandkids, 5 great grandkids and is known to mama Frankie or grandma Frankie to many in Greensboro. She enjoys Bible study, fishing, gardening and cooking. Happy birthday Frankie!
Happy 75th Anita! She also turned 75 on June 9. Anita lives in Greensboro and is the mother of 3 and grandmother of 5. She loves to travel, volunteer in the community, and watch the birds in her backyard. Happy birthday to you!
Edward also turned 75 on June 9th. He's been married for 54 years, has two kids, and three grandkids. He's a deacon at his church and loves cleaning up cars. Happy birthday Edward.
Take a look at this action shot! Number 32 is Archie. He turned 75 on June 10th. He plays full court basketball at the Y three days a week! He also picked up his grandson from kindergarten almost every day! Happy birthday active Archie!
Happy 75th to Ed! He also turned 75 June 10th. He's an Army veteran who's called Tobaccoville home his whole life. He 's been married to Ann for over 50 years, has a son, and grandson. He is a jack of all trades and can fix almost anything! He's also had a beard since the early 1970's and children often confuse him for Santa! Happy birthday Ed!
Happy birthday Jim! Jim turned 75 on June 11th. He lives in Mebane with his wife, Nancy. He has two daughters and a grandson named Finn. Happy birthday Jim!
Jean was also born June 11... Happy birthday Jean! She lives in Liberty and her family appreciates her for keeping family traditions and gatherings together! Happy birthday Jean!
Griffin turned 75 on June 12. He has four kids, eight grandkids, and another on the way! He loves bowling and playing golf. His family says he's very active and you'd never know he was turning 75. Happy birthday Griffin.
Happy birthday to Fay and Kay! These twins turn 75 June 13! They were born in Sanford and Fay is older by one minute. While they had moved away for years, they now live next to each other in Reidsville! Happy 75th Fay and Kay!
Last but not least, happy birthday Anne! Anne turns 75 June 14! Anne has been married to her husband for 50 years and has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, canning, cooking and sewing! Happy 75th Anne!
