GREENSBORO, N.C. — This month, WFMY News 2 is turning 75 and we want to celebrate our viewers who are also turning 75!
Today we're celebrating two people! First up is Mike Jones Senior! He turned 75 on August seventh. He was born in West Virginia but has called Greensboro home for 40 years. Here he is holding his great-grandson, Mike IV! He served in the Navy during the Vietnam war, and spends warm afternoons riding his motorcycle all over North Carolina. Happy birthday Mike!
We're also celebrating Joe! Joe is from Asheboro and turns 75 August 9. He loves his family and loves his church! They say he has been pastoring for over 40 years and also loves telling jokes. He's also the commander of a chapter of Disabled American Veterans. Happy birthday Joe! Your family loves you very much!
