On February 20, 2019, the Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils faced off for the first time that season. But at the end of the game, the big discussion wasn't about the final score, it was about a shoe.
Duke freshman Zion Williams sprained his knee 33 seconds into the game when his shoe blew out!
Without Williamson, the top-ranked Blue Devils lost by 16 points. But the shoe conversation lit up on social media and continued for days.
The incident cost Nike more than a billion dollars when the stock price dropped afterward.
