GREENSBORO, N.C. — To celebrate WFMY News 2 turning 75, we are opening the News 2 Vault.
Sports gambling is now legal in North Carolina, and we know it can be pretty popular around March Madness.
On March 15, 2009, we spoke with Gary Gray. He shared his previous experience with betting on the NCAA tournament.
"That $25 bet gets boring, so you raise it to 75 then to 100 then next thing you know, once you cross over that line when you're out of control with it, you're betting more on a game sometimes than you make in a week," Gray said.
Gray said it took him a couple of years, but he got his gambling under control.
