GREENSBORO, N.C. — To celebrate WFMY News 2 turning 75, we are opening the News 2 Vault.
On February 21, 2018, many people woke up to the news that Evangelist Billy Graham had died.
Over his lifetime, Graham delivered the gospel of Jesus Christ to 215 million people in 185 countries. Countless more heard his words through radio and television.
He held numerous preaching crusades preaching to people in tents, stadiums and sports arenas around the world.
People from all backgrounds and industries mourned his passing attended his funeral the following week.
Graham was 99 years old.
