February 7, 2016, started with a lot of excitement and anticipation for Panthers fans! The Panthers were facing the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50!
To this point, the Panthers' season was almost perfect!
The team was 15-1. Quarterback Cam Newton was the season's MVP and head coach Ron Rivera was coach of the year.
But the big game snapped that winning streak, breaking a lot of hearts.
Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos won the game 24-10.
