GREENSBORO, N.C. — On April 24, 1994, a normally quiet day on the golf course got a little loud and interesting!

Forest Oaks Country Club was hosting the Kmart Greater Greensboro Open Golf Tournament when protesters took over the 10th fairway.

The protesters were members of the Kmart union. They were involved in an ongoing labor dispute with Kmart regarding wages and working conditions.

The disruption lasted 15 minutes. Guilford County Sheriff's deputies arrested 64 people.
