Today... We're taking a trip to 1975... When it was wagon train time!
You heard that right... a wagon train!
Hundreds of people traveled the 40 miles from Jonesville in Yadkin County to Galax, Virginia in horse-drawn wagons!
They made the trip every year.
They believed they were following a path traveled by Daniel Boone.
When the wagoneers camped for the night, their festivities included square dancing into the night!
Then they got up the next morning to continue their journey.
