GREENSBORO, N.C. — We're taking it back to 1993 at the Greensboro Symphony.
Vadim Repin was a 21-year-old violin virtuoso from Siberia who performed a very difficult Paganini Concerto with the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra on May 10, 1993.
Repin started winning violin competitions when he was 11 and had been praised as having ethereal qualities.
The symphony conductor also led the orchestra in two other concerto performances.
