Vault Visit | Triad community gives back on MLK Day

Volunteers from High Point University and Guilford County Schools painted part of High Point Central High School.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — This year WFMY News 2 turns 75!

So to celebrate, we're opening the News 2 vault.

January 21, 2014 fell on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and we found several members of the Triad community giving back!

Volunteers from High Point University and Guilford County Schools painted part of High Point Central High School.

The area they worked on hadn't been painted in 30 years!

So many people came out to help. They needed more paint!

At Greensboro's Four Seasons Town Centre the 'Volunteer Center of the Triad' hosted hundreds of volunteers for multiple service projects.

It's good to see the Triad's tradition of helping others continue in Dr. King's honor.
