GREENSBORO, N.C. — This year WFMY News 2 turned 75! So to celebrate, we're opening the WFMY News 2 vault.
September 24, 1969, WFMY News 2 went behind the scenes for a special rehearsal.
Seniors from Greensboro's Fairview Community Center were rehearsing for their Senior Citizen Carnival.
The festival included a kissing booth, horror house, and bake sale.
But the main event was the stage show.
The Fairview Community Center is still open today.
It’s still on Fairview Street, but it’s now known as the Smith Active Adult Center.
It's open Monday thru Saturday offering classes and events for active adults in Guilford County.
