GREENSBORO, N.C. — WFMY News 2 turned 75 earlier this month! So to celebrate, we're opening the News 2 vault.
Back on Aug. 29, 1975, North Carolina A&T State University introduced a new recruiting tool.
University officials wanted to tour the state in a blue and gold "Aggie Van." At the time, admissions directors said the van would set up shop in church parking lots and community centers to try and reach more prospective students and their parents.
Inside the bus, the university offered catalogues, financial aid papers and even applications.
