LEXINGTON, N.C. — To celebrate WFMY News 2 turning 75, we are opening the News 2 Vault.
On June 25, 1976, there were plenty of fire trucks, but no fires! It was Firemen's Day in Davidson County!
More than a thousand firefighters were on hand. Many participated in competitions, showcasing their skills. There were lots of laughs among the firefighters and the many community members who were there to watch.
