October 11, 2018, the Triad felt the impacts of Hurricane Michael.
The storm hit the Florida panhandle as a Category 5 hurricane the day before.
It then continued up the southeast leaving a mess in its wake.
The Triad experienced flooding, fallen trees, and power outages.
We even saw people forming a human chain to rescue a man who got trapped in his truck.
Once the water subsided, thousands were in the dark for days.
In the end, Michael was directly responsible for 16 deaths and about 25 billion dollars in damage in the US.
