Vault Visit | Guilford Co. deals with food stamp mess

On this day in 2012, a new state system created a food stamp mess.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — On June 26, 2012, a new state system created a food stamp mess.

The State Division of Social Services installed a new pilot program on Guilford County's computers. The program was supposed to make things easier, but glitches meant many local families weren't able to eat.

WFMY News 2 spoke to both local and state officials for answers. Our viewers responded and donated to local food pantries so people in need wouldn't go hungry.
