GREENSBORO, N.C. — WFMY turns 75 this year and to celebrate we are opening the News 2 Vault.
On July 4, 1976, Greensboro held its first Fun Fourth Festival.
City leaders organized the event in recognition of the country's 200th birthday!
The event featured a parade, vendors, and performances. People even got to set off a cannon and take rides in a helicopter!
