GREENSBORO, N.C. — WFMY News 2 turns 75 and to celebrate, we are opening the News 2 Vault.
January 19, 2014, was the end of an era for a downtown Greensboro landmark.
The Greensboro was demolished to make way for the Tanger Center for the Performing Arts. While the Inn had been downtown for a long time, it had also been closed for 2 years before the demolition.
After a nuisance abatement case and other complaints, the owners agreed to close the Inn as part of an agreement with the city.
