GREENSBORO, N.C. — To celebrate WFMY News 2 turning 75 this year, we are opening the News 2 Vault.
August 2, 2014, is the day Greensboro celebrated a new addition to the city -- a library!
The Glenn McNairy Branch Library mixed books with technology to create a unique experience. The 15,000-square-foot library featured 20,000 books, an interactive children's area, iPad, laptop rentals, and a 3D printer.
Library staff said they're all about connecting generations through a hi-tech experience.
The library is open at varying hours daily.
One Saturday a month, trained staff hosts Autism Afternoon. That includes a story specially crafted for children experiencing autism.
